There are two visa pathways – temporary and permanent visa arrangements. 

  • TEMPORARY PATHWAY : BUSINESS INNOVATION & INVESTMENT PROVISIONAL VISA (SUBCLASS 188)

This category is suitable for applicants who have business skills and are keen to set up and manage a new or existing business in Australia. Visas granted under this category are valid for 4 years. There are five visa streams under this category.

  • PERMANENT PATHWAY : BUSINESS INNOVATION & INVESTMENT PERMANENT VISA (SUBCLASS 888)

This category is suitable for applicants who want to continue their entrepreneurial and business activities in Australia permanently. Applicants can apply for these visas if they have previously held Business Innovation & Investment Provisional visa before. There are five visa streams under this category – one for each stream in the provisional pathway.

Under this visa, applicants who have been nominated by Austrade and can invest AUD15 million in Australia are allowed to operate a business or carry out investment activities here

Premium Investor Stream

Under this visa, holders of the Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) visa (subclass 188) in the Premium Investor stream are allowed to continue their investment activities and live in Australia indefinitely
