Navitas Professional is unique in being the only education provider in Australia to offer the Professional Year Program (PYP) in all three disciplines: international accounting, IT and engineering.

The Navitas Professional Year Program includes the BSB40215 Certificate IV in Business as well as a module on English language test preparation ( IELTS, PTE or BULATS ).

The PYP offered by Navitas Professional focusses on both theory and practice which has led to strong employment outcomes for its participants, helping a majority of them to successfully gain employment within 6 months of graduation.

DURATION

The program runs for 44 weeks and includes a 12 week internship giving the participants the opportunity to apply their acquired theoretical knowledge in a practical work environment.

  • Eligibility Criteria for the Professional Year Programs

ACCOUNTING

Applicants must have:

  • a recognized accounting degree with  a minimum of 2 years of credit points. This course must have been completed over a minimum duration of 3 years (18 months).
  • applied for or hold a 485 Temporary graduate visa ( valid for a minimum of 12 months)
  • demonstrated proficiency in English with an overall IELTS score of 6 and a minimum score of 6 in all 4 components or a minimum score of 50 in PTE (academic).
  • a valid skill assessment from a professional accounting association.  

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Applicants must:

  • have completed a recognized IT degree in Australia which provides at least 2 years of credit points.
  • hold an Australian visa with full working and studying rights.
  • meet the minimum English language test scores for a Temporary Graduate visa (485) – an overall IELTS minimum score of 6.0, with nothing below 5.0 across all bands or an overall PTE  score of 50 with a minimum of 36 across all bands.
